Dove Awards 2016 Displays Unity in Christian Diversity

 This year the GMA 47th Annual Dove Awards became the most memorable event of the year. Displaying the most diversity at an award show, the Dove Awards set the bar high in the music industry for the years to come. As the show opens up with Tamela Mann we see a theme of Unity incorporating cultures of all types within the Gospel and Christian Music Industry. We can confidently say that for once music in the Christian world is no longer divided. Christian Music of all types were appreciated making the Dove Awards this year the biggest event to happen in Christian Music. The Dove Awards did not only display Unity but also seeing all of the obstacles challenging America with subjects such as police brutality, the Dove Awards promoted the theme “LOVE.AMPLIFIED….” This powerful message amplified through the stadium as it was displayed across the stage and podiums at this years show.

Gospel Artist of the Year: Kirk Franklin, Kirk Franklin gave a heart wrenching speech by saying, “When we are silent then we are saying something!” The crowd gave him a standing ovation.
Artist of the Year: Lauren Daigle
At the end of the show, Mathew West ended with a new song that had everyone in the building standing in awe…. Tune in
